Position Title Asset Advisory Services Intern

The AAS team in Oakland is seeking an enthusiastic intern to join our team for the summer (and potentially beyond). The intern will be assisting the Asset Advisory Services team on the County of Los Angeles Program with:
Creation of schematic floor plans in AutoCAD from hand drawings generated by architects in the field
Working in the Strategic Asset Management website on Data cleanup tasks, GIS research
Collation of data for monthly status report in InDesign
General research tasks
Developing base maps and report graphics
Preparing presentations in InDesign and PowerPoint
Our Asset Advisory Services group is a growing team who works to give our clients more control over their real estate portfolios by acting as their trusted advisors on decisions around their building portfolios. We develop reliable, accurate and credible condition data, and perform the analytical synthesis preparing the essential steps for making informed decisions on facility repair, improvement or replacement.

We support all stages of the asset management process, from deficiency identification, to analysis and cost estimating, to sustainability and resiliency, to project prioritization, to capital planning and budget modeling.

The Intern plays a key role in supporting the greater team. Possesses promising skills based on academic work, developing strong technical skills and high quality/standards of work. We are a team who rewards self-starters, and a great sense of humor is a plus.
Enrolled in a university program in engineering, planning, architecture or design
- Written and verbal proficiency in English
