Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Process Engineer Intern to work in the New Orleans, Louisiana office.

The AECOM Internship Program is designed to engage students from colleges, universities and technical schools in the practical application of a major administrative or technical study and to familiarize the intern with the interactions and requirements of the industry. Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional. Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program majoring in Chemical Engineering with the intent to attend the subsequent term as a full-time student.

  • Must have completed 60 credits prior to the start of the internship

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3.5 GPA

  • Previous work or internship experience related to Process Engineering

  • Coursework in Intro to Chemical Engineering, Fundamentals of Material and Energy Balances, Momentum Transfer, Numerical Methods, Thermodynamics

  • Experience with process simulation software such as Aspen Tech HYSYS or similar

  • Experience with Microstation, AutoCAD, or equivalent

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications

Additional Information:

  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

  • Due to the nature of work, candidates must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident of the US

  • Relocation and per diem benefits are not available
