AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Engineer for employment in the Cincinnati, OH office.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Learn and apply environmental regulatory requirements such as state and federal regulations implementing the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act.

  • Prepare engineering related calculations such as air emission estimates and chemical volume, composition, and quantity estimates.

  • Learn and apply industrial safety regulatory requirements such as OSHA General Industrial Safety and chemical Process Safety Management (PSM)

  • Draft written environmental compliance plans such as Spill Prevention, Countermeasures, and Control, Stormwater Pollution Prevention, and Hazardous Waste Contingency Plans.

  • Participate in visits to industrial sites as needed

  • Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member

  • Track and communicate workload and availability within the group.

Minimum Requirements

  • 0-2 Years of Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Environmental Engineering or other related Engineering degrees is required

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel with experience in word processing and standard office software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Co-op experience in chemical plant and/or manufacturing facility

  • GPA 3.0 or higher

  • Potential overnight travel across the U.S. depending on project

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred
