AECOM Economics provides applied economic analysis and strategic planning services to a wide range of clients. Our work primarily spans the following market sectors: real estate, hospitality, entertainment and leisure, public facilities, land use policy, and strategic planning. Our clients include private entities, government agencies, and non-profit organisations.

We are currently seeking a graduate looking to build a career in real estate consulting to join AECOM’s Economics Team. The Economics Team evaluates the market and economic feasibility of master planned communities, hotels, visitor attractions, sports venues, entertainment & leisure schemes, coastal and mountain resorts, and mixed use developments.

The Analyst is an entry level position for a university graduate. The ideal candidate will be highly numerate and articulate, comfortable with quantitative data and analysis, and ultimately responsible for the basic core research of assigned projects. This can involve conducting primary and secondary research, gathering information via telephone or face to face interviews, embarking on site visits, and generating baseline demographic information and forecasts. The Analyst is responsible for interpreting and drawing out implications from baseline data in a concise and timely manner.

The Analyst will work as part of a team under the direction of associates and project managers working on projects throughout Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. They will be paired with an experienced member of the team who will guide and mentor them through their initial period working on live projects. The candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to produce high quality written reports and presentations. An appetite for international travel is desirable.

Minimum Requirements

Hold a 2.1 or First Class honours degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Economics, Real Estate, Accountancy, Finance / Business, Hospitality, Leisure & Tourism Management, or another relevant degree e.g. Geography).

Highly numerate

Computer proficiency in Excel, word processing, and presentation software

Strong interpersonal skills, charm and maturity to conduct face-to-face and telephone interviews

Comfortable in dealing with quantitative data and analysis

Written ability that is coherent, grammatically correct, analytical, and professional

Listens to others and accepts input from team members

Displays a positive attitude

Highly motivated and proactive

Natural curiosity and readiness for travelling with project team

Effective time management and ability to multi-task

English language (fluent) + additional languages (advantageous)

Good communicator and team player, able to demonstrate a commitment to continued education and improvement through participating in our approved training schemes
